This Week’s Book: Always a Witch
Author: Carolyn MacCullough
Release Date: July 4th 2011
Summary: Since the gripping conclusion of Once A Witch, Tamsin Greene has been haunted by her grandmother’s prophecy that she will soon be forced to make a crucial decision— one so terrible that it could harm her family forever. When she discovers that her enemy, Alistair Knight, went back in time to Victorian-era New York in order to destroy her family, Tamsin is forced to follow him into the past. Stranded all alone in the nineteenth century, Tamsin soon finds herself disguised as a lady’s maid in the terrifying mansion of the evil Knight family, avoiding the watchful eye of the vicious matron, La Spider, and fending off the advances of Liam Knight. As time runs out, both families square off in a thrilling display of magic. And to her horror, Tamsin finally understands the nature of her fateful choice. (Amazon)
I LOVED the first book in the series. The writing was witty and unexpected and the story was very original. So I’m very excited about this new addition to the series. My only complaint is the cover. I really loved the first one, this one has too much of a Fallen feel to it.

I haven't read Once a Witch yet, but seeing the premise for this one makes me want to start the series! Great pick, Katie! :)
Nice pick! I'll have to read the first book! Thanks for introducing me to a new series.
I have the first book, but haven't read it yet. Hopefully I'll get to it soon. I've given you and award:

Congrats! I really enjoy reading your blog!
I hope the second book lives up to the first, that's always the worry! Thanks Annette so much Annette. I love hearing that people enjoy my blog :)
Can't wait for this one! I adored Once a Witch as well and I can't wait for more of Tamsin's story. And that cover is just too pretty, I have to have it:)
I agree with the cover comment. So pale and tragic, overdone.
However, I absolutely loved Once a Witch, so I will be reading this ASAP, regardless of the cover.
I have to give this series a shot, looks really good. Have fun reading!

Thanks everyone. I do think the cover is pretty, but it's so dramatic. Although it might fit the plot really well. I just love the old cover so much, with the blurry photo and the bright colours. I think it might be one of my favourite covers ever.
