Massive Snowstorm

Sorry for the non book post, but I wanted to let you see some of the excitement that has been happening in my town the last couple of days.

Today is the first day since Sunday that I can see the sky. My town (in Canada) has been hit with a massive snowstorm. It’s actually been pretty awesome. My husband’s law exams have been cancelled, my roommate’s school (she’s a teacher) has been shut down for three days and the library has been closed for two. The city is actually shut down today so that the snowploughs can fix the damage. It’s pretty epic. We’ve stayed in our PJ’s, played in the snow, watched Christmas movies, enjoyed home made soup and relaxed. We’ve had about 100cm (just over 3 feet) of snow. Such a fun way to kick off winter!!!

Wow!! That's so much snow! It reminds me of the amount of snow they were showing last night on CTV. Crazy amount! That`s sweet how your husband`s exams were canceled! Enjoy the snow day! :)

So so so jealous :( I'm the marketing director for a ski resort in New Hampshire, and we have no snow. None :(

Midnight Bloom: I'm sure it was what you saw on CTV last night. People in England saw it too. Crazy

Ashley: kinda sucks that you didn't get a true last day. Yay on being almost done.

Melissa: we have tons to spare. The system sat on us for three days, crazy fun. Our ski hills are opening friday!

Holy cow! And we thought that the 32cm we got in Montreal this last 24 hours was a lot! Look at that snow! I do love winter but I would have appreciated the last two days of snowstorm a lot more had I not had to get into work. They don't close Universities sadly. ha!

(In other news... I love your blog layout SO MUCH. It makes me happy to look at it. :))

We are extremely jealous as well. ONly 1 hour away and we have very very little - maybe 3-4 cm. The kids are extremely disappointed especially hearing how both the schools and universities were shut for 3 days!

Enjoy!!! and send some a little East :)

I'm in Canada too (eastern Ontario) and we have very little snow, but it is REALLY cold outside. I actually kind of wished we had a snow day at least once this week.

Enjoy your snow!

It's been pretty fun, everyone from out of town keeps calling to make sure we are alright. Everything is back to normal today. We're all either back at work or writing exams! boo. Fun while it lasted.

Lovely snow! We're expecting 3 inches tomorrow here in KY, and we're all panicky. I can't imagine what 3 feet of snow would do!

Ohh wow that's intense!! I wish I lived in a place where it even snowed. I live in Brisbane, Australia and it won't get cold enough to snow :( So jealous. Have fun!
